Earlier this month the Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC) of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council held its third public hearing on appraisal bias. The hearing focused on the development and review of residential appraisals, reconsideration processes for real estate valuations, and rural appraisal development. Testimonies were given by experts from various organizations, including RSDS LLC, Real Estate Valuation Advocacy Association, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and the American Bankers Association.
