A New Path for Real Estate Appraisal Certification

The Appraisal Institute announced that the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) has approved the certified residential real property credential (CR) path for the AI PAREA program. This follows the approval and public release of the AI PAREA licensed residential (LR) path, an online simulated appraisal experience program offering an alternative pathway for aspiring appraisers. AI PAREA provides mentor support from Designated Members, access to 66 chapters for enhanced networking, exposure to a range of real estate appraisal scenarios, and access to specialist resources. The LR path was launched in September, with registration for the CR path expected later this year.
